It was today in 2003 that Dave and Becky, our illustrious leaders, took the risk of buying Bronco; which back then was just a two man Web Development and hosting company doing some SEO. Over the following 9 years that risk has paid off and Bronco have become a much larger, much respected and sought after Web and SEO agency.
One year ago we used our birthday to launch the newest version of our website. But this year we jumped the gun and launched our 2012 version a few weeks ago. Yet we still have to mark the occasion somehow?
So what better way than to look back on what the past year had in store for us:
With so many changes in the web community the sites we produce now look and work very differently to those we launched just a year ago. New standards and methods of implementing websites have allowed us to create such fantastic websites such as the new Distinctive Chesterfields, Pioneers of Digital and The Cornish Way.
We foster long term relationships with our clients and this is why these sites are only the latest of numerous sites we have created for each client. To view even more sites we’ve created both this year and before head to our portfolio.
Google likes to keep things interesting; and it’s the job of an SEO agency to keep up with or even predict the changes that Google makes. This year possibly more than any other has been the most challenging with Google really picking up the pace in the changes they make.
But with Dave Naylor at the helm of a super talented team we’ve successfully adapted to any and all changes while strengthening the position of many of our clients in their chosen market.
As many SEO contracts include non-disclosure agreements we have to prove our abilities without naming our clients; a tough task. But between Dave’s blog and his sessions at numerous conferences he maintains his industry standing whilst still learning from others so that he provides the highest returns for our clients.
At Bronco we work hard and play hard. Throughout the year we organise numerous social events like nights at the races, simple meals out or grand Christmas balls. The well-being of our staff is always of paramount importance, and we try our best to provide all the help and support they need to get the most out of life.
It’s this thinking that led us to creating the Broncoplex; our data centre and rest room. Opening mid last year it provides staff somewhere to relax and get away from their desk. Mainly used at lunchtime it allows people to recharge before powering through the afternoon, with a game of pool or some Xbox action.
But on a Friday afternoon the day has gotten a little shorter. With the weather starting to brighten (except for some snow weirdness this week) it’s a shame to waste so much time locked away in an office. So instead the Bronco weekend starts early with an extra hour off on Friday afternoon. What point is there in working hard through the week if you can’t enjoy the fruits of that labour over the weekend?
And that’s why rather than spend time doing boring chores on their time off all the Bronco staff now get their car washed while they work too. It’s a small thing but it gives the guys and gals a little more free time to do what they want while also making the car park outside the office look super shiny.
We’re lucky at Bronco that many of our team have worked with us for a long time, but even we can’t stop people looking for new challenges. This year wasn’t any different with some much loved members of the team leaving us to begin new challenges elsewhere, but also some talented new faces have joined us too adding new sets of skills to the team.
But as some people leave us the extended Bronco family has grown. In the past year we’ve seen two new baby girls arrive and another baby boy or girl due in a few weeks. As soon as they’re capable we’ll be sure to get them working hard and maybe have them replacing their parents too.
As well as new arrivals we saw one of our resident couples finally getting engaged whilst on a romantic week in Paris. What’s even better are the rumours of a Las Vegas wedding.
Last week then saw Dave and Becky renew their vows 14 years after having run off to Gretna Green to marry the first time. The day was fantastic and perfectly suited the bride and groom, and all planned in record time. If you ever need tips on how to plan a wedding in just 3 months ask Becky.
Bronco really is a family, in more ways than one.
Who knows? All we can do is work hard and enjoy what we’re doing. We’re obviously working on websites all the time and even have a few internal projects that people will hopefully find really useful.
Then next year it’ll be Bronco’s 10th Birthday. Surely we have to figure out something special to do then, but just what we have no idea. Maybe we could swing a company holiday to somewhere warm?
Like what you’ve read, then why not tell others about it... they might enjoy it too
If you think Bronco has the skills to take your business forward then what are you waiting for?
