· General

Here at Bronco, we’re huge fans of the solutions different outlets have to offer around creating content and organising data. With the recent news on the launch of Canva’s new Docs offering, we couldn’t resist jumping straight in and having a play around… and of course, comparing against the more robust Google Docs.

So let’s get started.

What does Canva offer in its new Docs feature?

  1. Create and share custom templates with your team
  2. Upload your own images, branding assets and logos into your doc
  3. The new ‘Magic Write’ tool allows users to generate ideas and receive answers by using AI
  4. Embed your own presentation slideshow into the document. Users will be able to double-click on it to interact and click through the pages
  5. Create interactive elements like charts and graphs
  6. Add video and audio content to your documents
  7. Share documents directly to social media or email
  8. Easily insert emojis by writing a word after the colon 😃
  9. Your team can easily add their comments and any feedback. Also, you can easily tag your teammates.
  10. The optimised mobile experience for edits on the move

Sounds great, doesn’t it?

To put it through a real test, we specifically asked Canva through its new “Magic Write” function to compare Canva Docs with Google Docs.

The answer? Quite an honest, concise comparison of the two and we’d actually 100% agree with the points made.

Canva Docs vs. Google Docs: Which One is Right for You?

When it comes to creating documents, there are a few different options to choose from. Two of the most popular document creation tools are Canva Docs and Google Docs. So, which one is the right choice for you?

Canva Docs is a great option if you are looking for a simple, straightforward way to create documents. The interface is user-friendly and easy to navigate. Plus, there are a variety of templates to choose from, so you can create a professional-looking document without a lot of design experience.

Google Docs is another popular option for document creation. It offers a more robust set of features than Canva Docs, including tracking changes, adding comments, and collaborating with others in real time. If you are looking for a more powerful document creation tool, Google Docs is a great choice.

So, which one should you choose? Canva Docs or Google Docs? The answer depends on what you need. If you are looking for a simple, easy-to-use document creation tool, Canva Docs is a great option. If you need a more robust document creation tool with additional features, Google Docs is the way to go.

To Conclude

Whilst Canva has made a massive step in both entering the space to compete against the likes of Google and to also offer a brand new arm to their already huge offering, It’s going to take some time for Canva’s option to gather steam and learn from user requirements and needs, but without question, it’s going to turn some heads.
