UK Bathrooms Launches New Website
It has been just over a year since UK Bathrooms started working with Bronco with the aim to become the biggest online supplier of designer bathroom products in the UK. Today we have launched their new website which will help them move a step closer to their goal.
Back in June 2007 we launched the UK Bathrooms brand, and we spent many months before the launch developing a bespoke ecommerce and content management system for them in house. The old site has been a great success seeing their sales increase remarkably month after month. Due to the success of the first website it was decided to redesign the whole site from top to bottom. The new design enables us to bring in new web design techniques and make the website wider than it was before. On the internet, web design is moving at a fast pace, and even though we always aim to make sites that "age” well, it was decided that a new look was needed to fit with the larger company branding.
With the new design came the opportunity to bring in new features to the site such as the main bathroom manufacturers page. Since UKBathrooms sell such an extensive range of bathroom products from all the top bathroom manufacturers we needed to bring in the extra usability. We have also made it easier, when you are in a bathroom category such as Quadrant Showers for instance, to see which manufacturers have products in that category. Likewise if you visit a manufacturer page such as Kudos you can easily see the manufacturers' ranges and product categories that they support.
The UK Bathrooms logo has had a facelift, along with the Support sections on the website such as the Help & Information pages, and the Account sections for regular customers. For increased usability we have redeveloped the Recently Viewed Items section too so that customers can easily see what they have been looking at and the pricing. The whole basket, checkout and confirmation sections for the order processing have been made slick and user friendly.
The feedback so far from regular customers to the site has been very positive and the site certainly showcases UKBathrooms as one of the leaders in the supply of top brand bathroom furniture in the UK.
