A stylish website to reflect classic English Chesterfields
It's starting off as a busy year for Bronco as another website is launched. This time it is the turn of Distinctive Chesterfields, who sell handmade leather Chesterfield Sofas and Club Chairs
It was towards the end of 2007 when the father and son team from West Yorkshire approached Bronco needing us to build a site that would allow for these beautiful and stylish pieces of traditional furniture to be showed off and able to be bought on line. The ecommerce package that we needed to create was different from a typical online shop as Distinctive Chesterfields have one main product which was a Chesterfield rather than many different products. Within this one product was a variety of ranges and styles of suite. A site visitor is able to buy a single piece of furniture if they like, or buy the whole suite, and we needed to come up with a smooth solution.
The product section on Distinctive Chesterfields is quite special as the customer can choose a size, such as a 3 seater chesterfield sofa or club chair and then choose the type and colour of leather that they would like it making in. The system works out the correct price based on the individual product and the leather, to calculate the basket. Shipping also needs to be considered as it's based on the number of seats ordered and the delivery country.
Buying a Chesterfield sofas or suite online is something that is made easy by allowing the potential customer to see the colours of the leathers close up, and also to be able to see the detailed photographs of the suites. From the site customers can also order a brochure, a selection of leather swatches and also book a visit to the show room.
The system that was built for Distinctive Chesterfields has a comprehensive backend to allow for the easy management of the product pages, and to track the progress of orders effectively. The overall look and feel of the site is very stylish and should appeal to the worldwide market place. An extra section that we have added in for the international marketplace is the translations of French, Italian, Spanish, German, Dutch, Arabic, Russian and Japanese.
