Bronco sponsors local cricket club

Bronco is proud to announce this week that we will be sponsoring Burton Leonard Cricket Club for this coming cricket season.

Burton Leonard Cricket Club is one of the oldest cricket clubs in North Yorkshire, with archives from the Leeds Intelligencer reporting a match being played on the 5th November 1796 for £20 on Rigg Moor against Knaresborough.

Fielding three adult teams in the Nidderdale Amateur Cricket League on a Saturday, two teams in the Harrogate Evening League, an Under 11's team and a Ladies team, the club is currently flourishing and also offers weekend junior coaching sessions for 5-13 year old age groups.

Currently the Nidderdale League 1st XI are competing in Division 2 which is turning out to be one of the closest and hard fought divisions in years. This year through generous sponsorship, the Club's 1st XI will be sporting shirts emblazened with the Bronco Internet brand while they try to improve on last year's ninth in the table.

The club is also in the Quarter final of the Nidderdale Reserve K.O, and recently reached the Semi Final of the C.B Atkinson trophy with an emphatic eight wicket win at Birstwith CC and are hoping to progress all the way to the final.
